The real update!

That night we did go play a bit of pool but ended up playing mostly games like Three Dragon Ante and Betrayal at House on the Hill. The next day my mom and us went up to White Pass to play in the snow. It was only Josh's second time ever seeing snow so he was very excited and we ended up sledding, snowboarding, and a few snowball fights. Had a great time all in all. That night we played more board games, Betrayal again, Omega Virus, and Risk, heh. Threw some video games into the mix. Oh, all those board games were played with my bro too. Everyone got along excellently and my mom was very accomodating for him. Sunday we went to Legends Casino for buffett and then a little gambling. He wasn't too into gambling, but did walk away with winnings! Actually i think all of us won, though I got the most again at those wonderful Monopoly slots, won another $20. Then we went driving around, showed him the murals in the city the casino was in, visited the cultural museum, vistited a winery (though sadly it was closed so no taste testing for him). Went home and mom made him a lunch to take with on the trip home. Dropped him off at the airport at 5, then came home.

At about 7 he called to tell me the pass they were going to cross had closed due to avalanche danger. The bus waited awhile but the pass didn't open and the bus came back. We had to change his flight time to monday night and the dang airlines wanted $100 just to change flights >.<. Really sucky, the round trip tickets cost $310 in the first place, the bus ride was $74. Luckily we didn't have to pay anything for the bus ride the next day. Sooo Josh got to spend an extra day with me. We went hiking for 30 minutes in the hills then went bowling. It was only his second time bowling but he got a strike on his first throw! ^_^ Was beginners luck though, after that was gutter ball after gutter ball and he got pretty discouraged. I tried to help him out but wasn't good at it, but a guy next to us gave some advice and that seemed to help. We still managed to play 3 games of bowling before it was time for him to leave again.

He ended up calling me again at 11:30 or so, to tell me he was on the plane but it had problems and they might cancel the flight. >_> Poor guy has the worst luck when traveling apparently. ^^; But it ended up flying anyway and Josh made it safely home. He said he had a wonderful time and likes my family and will seriously consider moving over. He already wants to start saving money for a return visit this summer! ^_^

It was very good seeing him again, and we had lots of fun.
